💡 Ceros time off policy is pretty straightforward: It's UNLIMITED!

Mark all out-of-office time in your Ceros Google Calendar to make it easily visible to your teammates. This way everyone can see you are out when trying to setup a meeting with you.
If it’s more than half day, make sure you book your time off in Bamboo HR where your manager needs to approve it in advance. Use the categories to differentiate what kind of PTO (= paid time off) you're taking.
Bamboo allows you to choose from PTO or Sickday but it is useful to further specify to smoothen the process of approving and reporting (= this means that marking your PTO correctly as described below will make the payroll process faster and you will get your salary earlier. 😉)
a) PTO
- Vacation (= Your free time, you don’t have to specify.)
- Personal (= Extra day off apart from vacation granted by a czech labour law, i.e. wedding, funeral, government office appointment, etc.)
b) Sick Days
- Sickday (= Feeling unwell for a day or two.)
- Sickness (= Unable to work, confirmed by a doctor. = “Neschopenka”)
c) National Holiday
Rules
- Czech law enables you to 20 days of “Vacation” which we strongly recommend to use. In case your employment contract terminates before the end of the calendar year and you didn't have a chance to use all these, you will be reimbursed in your last salary.
- Please be aware that Wellness Fridays are a company benefit provided for you but from the legal point of view, it counts as working hours. We encourage you to enjoy a longer weekend on us!
However when taking a Friday off, you shall mark a FULL DAY OFF, not just a half day.
Don't worry, there is no risk that you will use “too much holiday”. We just need the amount of days to match the amount of hours and since your contracts are closed for 40 hours-long weeks, it needs to add up. By following this you also help to make the payroll prep process to be as fast as possible.
